Product description
Malleable iron pipe fittings are suitable for pipeline connection pieces used in the transportation of media with a nominal size ranging from DN15 to DN100, a service temperature of -29°C to 175°C, and a maximum working pressure of 2.1 MPA. They are an important part of the pipeline systems in the fields of gas, fire protection, water affairs, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and can meet the connection requirements of various pipeline systems. Whether it is a straight pipeline or a curved pipeline, or whether it is a pipeline with the same diameter or different diameters, malleable iron pipe fittings can provide a firm and reliable American standard threaded connection, which is convenient for on-site construction.

Our Malleable Iron Threaded Coupling provides a straight, female-to-female connection between two threaded pipes. Equal couplings connect pipes of the same nominal size, while reducing couplings connect two different pipe sizes within one compact fitting.
Manufactured from ASTM A197/A197M malleable iron, the coupling range is available from 1/2" to 4" (DN15–DN100). NPT or BSP thread requirements and black or galvanized finishes can be specified according to your market and project requirements.
Designed for distributors, wholesalers, MEP contractors, industrial suppliers and OEM customers, our coupling range can be ordered together with elbows, tees, unions and other Malleable Iron Pipe Fittings for consolidated bulk purchasing.

For bulk quotations, please specify the coupling type, both connection sizes, thread standard, finish and quantity required for each SKU.
A Malleable Iron Equal Coupling uses two female threaded ends of the same nominal size to join two male-threaded pipes in a straight line.
For example, a 1" equal coupling connects a 1" male-threaded pipe to another compatible 1" threaded pipe.
Equal couplings are commonly stocked by pipe fitting wholesalers and distributors because they are basic connection fittings used throughout plumbing, gas, compressed-air, HVAC and industrial piping systems.
A Malleable Iron Reducing Coupling connects two male-threaded pipes of different nominal sizes along the same centerline.
For example, a 1" × 3/4" threaded reducing coupling allows a 1" threaded line to transition directly to a 3/4" connection.
This eliminates the need to combine a standard coupling with an additional reducing fitting, helping create a more compact threaded connection.
For reducing coupling orders, both connection sizes should always be included in the RFQ.
Thread specification is a critical purchasing detail for international buyers.
NPT fittings are commonly used in North American markets, while BSP threaded systems are widely used across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and other regions.
Although fittings may carry the same nominal inch size, NPT and BSP threads have different thread geometry and should not be treated as interchangeable.
For distributor orders, the required thread system should therefore be confirmed for every SKU before production. Separate NPT and BSP products can also be identified through different labels, cartons or customer SKU numbers.
Black threaded couplings are commonly selected for gas, compressed air, steam and general industrial piping where galvanized corrosion protection is not specified.
They can be purchased together with other black malleable iron fittings to build a consistent distributor product range.
A Galvanized Malleable Iron Coupling uses a zinc-based protective surface to improve corrosion resistance in suitable water, building-service, humid and outdoor applications.
Galvanizing quality is particularly important for bulk orders because uneven coating around the thread can affect installation. Surface treatment and thread condition should therefore both be controlled before shipment.
A commercial coupling order is rarely limited to one size. Distributors typically require multiple equal and reducing combinations, often together with other threaded fittings.
| Procurement Requirement | Our Supply Approach |
|---|---|
| Multiple Sizes | Combine different coupling sizes in one purchasing program |
| Equal & Reducing Types | Source standard and reducing configurations together |
| Different Markets | Specify NPT or BSP thread requirements |
| Surface Requirements | Select black or galvanized finishes |
| Private Label | Support customer marking, labels and packaging |
| Complete Fitting Range | Combine couplings with elbows, tees, unions and other fittings |
| Repeat Orders | Maintain agreed specifications for recurring supply |
This approach is better suited to wholesalers, importers, project suppliers and private-label brands than small-quantity retail purchasing.
A threaded coupling has a simple appearance, but dimensional consistency directly affects installation performance.
If the internal threads are oversized, undersized, misaligned or poorly machined, installers may experience insufficient engagement, cross-threading, difficult assembly or leakage.
Our quality control covers the major stages from casting and machining to surface treatment and finished-product inspection. Critical characteristics such as connection dimensions, thread condition, surface quality and pressure integrity are checked before shipment.
For galvanized products, the surface treatment is also inspected to help maintain consistent corrosion protection without compromising the threaded connection.
For large-volume buyers, this process helps reduce batch variation and installation-related claims across repeat shipments.
Malleable Iron Threaded Couplings are widely used in water distribution, gas piping, fire protection, HVAC systems, compressed-air lines, steam services and general industrial utility pipelines.
Equal couplings are used for straight connections between pipes of the same nominal size, while threaded reducing couplings are selected where the pipeline needs to transition between two pipe diameters without changing direction.
For established distributors and pipe fitting brands, coupling orders can be produced according to agreed commercial requirements.
OEM options may include customer branding, casting or product identification, carton labels, barcode or SKU labels and customized packing arrangements.
Customers purchasing a complete product family can combine couplings with Malleable Iron Pipe Fittings such as elbows, tees, unions and nipples to simplify supplier management and shipment consolidation.
HULU has worked in the foundry industry since 1995 and supplies an extensive range of pipe fittings, valves and related pipeline products.
For bulk buyers, the advantage is not simply access to one threaded coupling. A broader fitting portfolio allows distributors and project companies to consolidate more SKUs with one supplier while coordinating thread standards, surface finish, quality inspection, packaging and shipment requirements.
Our production control focuses on material quality, casting consistency, precision threads, surface treatment and finished-product inspection, helping support recurring distributor and project orders.
It is a straight female-to-female threaded fitting used to connect two compatible male-threaded pipes. It is available as an equal coupling for the same pipe size or a reducing coupling for different pipe sizes.
An equal coupling has the same nominal connection size at both ends. A Malleable Iron Reducing Coupling has two different female threaded connection sizes and is used to transition between different pipe diameters.
The current coupling range covers approximately 1/2" to 4", corresponding to DN15–DN100. Send your complete size list for configuration confirmation.
NPT and BSP thread requirements can be coordinated according to the target market and purchase specification. The required thread system should be stated clearly in the RFQ because NPT and BSP are not interchangeable.
Yes. Black and galvanized malleable iron fitting options are available for different piping environments and market requirements.
Yes. Equal and reducing couplings in multiple sizes can be combined within a bulk purchasing program. They can also be ordered together with other Malleable Iron Pipe Fittings.
OEM and private-label requirements such as product identification, carton labels, customer SKUs and packaging can be discussed according to order requirements.
